BKHL Plating Job DescriptionAt Brooklyn High Low, a huge part of our “Tea Party” experience is in the art of plating.we are looking for a candidate to prepare the centerpiece of our guests afternoon tea service. Your work would be assembling and presenting our selection of food on a triple tier plate stand as the crown jewel of everyones tea party.Job Responsibilities:Prepare and present all food items according to our standardized plating instructions and standardsEnsure food items are plated attractively and served quickly and efficiently to customersReceive customer orders and ensure all food is served with the correct condiments, sides and accompanimentsMake sure all health and safety rules and regulations in the kitchen area are followed at all times and procedures are adhered toClean and restock the kitchen area after a shiftIdentify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, quality, speed and efficiency of service and presentationRequirements:Verbal CommunicationPrevious experience working in a food service environmentKnowledge of food hygiene and safety proceduresGreat attention to detail and math skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidaysKnowledge and passion for tea and food, and a desire to share that passion with othersWit and sense of humorCustomer ServiceLead teamworkAn ability to resolve issues on the spotA positive and high energy levelThoroughness and thoughtfulnessProfessionalism in attire, hygiene (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1n8oXDSOf1uOXEMzx4lCXHOV8ibudSJ7m9LN5XTaZtws/edit?usp=sharing) and personaUp to 30 hours a week, (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)Qualifications and Skills:High school diploma or equivalentPrior restaurant or hotel experience preferredFood Handlers License preferred
